Second opinion service terms
What a CliniPraxi written second opinion is, what it is not, and how it is delivered.
1. What the service is
A written opinion from a registered doctor based on the records and question you provide. Reviewers hold a current licence with their regulator (for example the GMC in the UK or the MDCN in Nigeria), which we record before any case is assigned.
2. What it is not
It is not emergency care, a diagnosis made after physical examination, a prescription or a replacement for your treating team. It does not create an ongoing doctor–patient relationship. If you are seriously unwell, call 999 (UK), 112 (EU) or your local emergency number.
3. Your responsibilities
Provide accurate and complete records you are entitled to share, and only for yourself or someone you have legal authority to act for. Share the opinion with your treating clinician before making any decision.
4. Turnaround
Standard requests aim for a response within 48 hours and premium requests within 24 hours, once all documents are received. Complex cases may take longer; we will tell you. A reviewer may decline a case that cannot be safely assessed remotely, and any fee is refunded in full.
5. Consent and confidentiality
You give explicit consent for your records to be reviewed. Every access to your documents is logged. You can withdraw a request before the opinion is completed.
6. Records
Your request, documents, opinion and audit trail are kept for 8 years from completion and then securely deleted, unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Concerns
If you are unhappy with an opinion, use our Complaints procedure. You may also raise concerns about a doctor directly with their regulator.
